It's Time for a Restoration
If you're missing one or more of your natural teeth, you will likely benefit from a restoration like dental implants.
Unfortunately, missing teeth is usually more than just a cosmetic issue. It impacts the way you eat, what you're able to eat, and even how you speak if you're missing enough of your smile. Fortunately, we can help with replacing what you're missing so that your smile and quality of life is improved.

Why Dental Implants Are needed?
Dental implants are specifically designed to replace one or more missing teeth. They're made of titanium, and are surgically inserted into your jawbone. After this, over the course of a couple of months, the implant itself will fuse with your bone.
Dr. Vartikar is then able to place single crowns, bridges or even full dentures over your freshly healed implants to complete your smile.
Are You a Good candidate for Implants?
We recommend dental implants for patients who have solid, healthy bone in the area where the implants needs to be placed.
To determine if you're a good candidate for this restoration, we'll take X-rays to see the applicable areas in your mouth and to make note of any signs of bone loss. If you suffer from bone loss or have low-lying sinuses, we may recommend either a bone grafting or sinus lift as a way to successfully place the implants.

the Restoration process
Your dental implant treatment will begin with either anesthetic or sedative, depending on what best suits your needs, to help you relax you during the surgery. Dr. Vartikar will then create an incision through your gums to create a small hole where the titanium implant posts will be placed.
After this, you'll visit our practice for regularly checkup while you undergo a process known as osseointegration—this will take around three to six months. Once your implant fuses, we can have you come back in to have a crown, bridge or denture made and placed on top of it.
